Ohio Cybersecurity of Small Businesses

The Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence has received a competitive federal grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide free cybersecurity training for small businesses in Ohio. This course is intended to be an introduction to cybersecurity practices with the first Gateway taking on average 3-4 hours in total. Upon completion, we will issue a badge. The course will outline general best practices and provide information about many different areas of a business' cybersecurity plan. Some topics include phishing, cyber inventory, network security, and passwords. The first step is for the business to register on our website: https://cdme.osu.edu/sba. This course is free, online, and available to all Ohio small businesses. The Ohio small businesses are enrolled in the course as they register, so there is no deadline to sign up.
